What better way to start learning a new programming language or development environment than to create a program that will spew out "Hello World!" This classic beginning may sound humble but it is symbolic of a big step. Whether you are writing your very first program, changing operating systems, or using a new development toolkit, this project will help you master the bare minimums.

If you are developing for a text interface, you can print the text and exit. As long as the text interface isn't a web browser, you can even spew out your welcome in an endless loop.

On the other hand, if a graphical interface such as Visual Basic has caught your attention, then you should place a command button on the window that will allow you to exit also. Coming shortly
